Dr. Deidre Anderson was raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, magna cum laude, at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and attended medical school at Northwestern University. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She is board certified in pediatrics, a member of both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. She joined North Arlington Pediatrics in 1995.
Dr. Anderson particularly enjoys working with toddlers and preschoolers, striving to make their experience with the doctor comfortable and pleasant. She also is interested in working with infants and their parents in providing guidance regarding preventive care, development and nutrition. In addition, she has had much experience with preteen/teenaged girls and desires to provide them with compassionate counsel as they grow into independency and transition to young adults who will become responsible for their own healthcare. She has also served on the Pediatric Ward committee at NCH.
Since her marriage to a Minnesotan in 2006, she enjoys the unique situation of living in St. Paul and commuting for a 3-4 day work week in Arlington Heights because she believes that there could not be a better group of doctors, nurses, staff and patients than those she has had the pleasure to work with at North Arlington Pediatrics! She is an avid reader, loves to cook, travel, and visit her family in Door County, Wisconsin.
