Michele Lawhun, MD

Dr. Michele Lawhun was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, where she attended Wright State University for both undergraduate and medical school. She completed her pediatric residency training at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida; where she was awarded resident of the year for both the pediatrics program and the graduating residency class of 2006. She is board certified in pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Lawhun and NAP colleagues created a "Healthy Living Clinic" to educate children about nutrition and to encourage kids to lead a healthy, active lifestyle. She has served as a guest speaker on lactation and other issues. She has a particular interest in working with young people and mentoring students. Locally, she has presented to area high schools about careers in medicine.

She and her husband relocated to the Chicago area upon completion of her training, and has been at North Arlington Pediatrics ever since. She enjoys cooking, arts and crafts, sewing, home renovation and fixing anything around the office that is broken.
